Ubiquitous Futures, 2018

in two consecutive years Catch offered a course for bachelor and master students at higher educational platforms in Denmark.

Click Festival and The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation was collaborating partners both years, whereas In 2017 the IT University, Denmark, was a partner as well.

The cross-disciplinary course in game design, visual media and beyond combined hands-on creation of digital games, animations, motion graphics and visual designs with innovative conceptual approaches to game design and storyworld design.

The students learned to apply game, visual and narrative perspectives to new areas such as strategic design, service design and experience design. The aim of the course was to bridge the ideas from the students to companies and to test them in public space at the Click Festival, 2017 and 2018.

in 2017 the exhibition was titled Journey to the Vast Unknown which referred to the journey  the students embarked upon during the process of developing the exhibition and the art works.

in 2018 the exhibition was titled Ubiquitous Futures
